Guide
Most San Diego exotic rentals are trips, not errands — a weekend at a hotel or rental house where the car is part of the plan. That changes the math and the logistics: here's how delivery from Costa Mesa works, what a weekend actually costs, and how to use the included miles well.
Our fleet is based in Costa Mesa, and San Diego rentals run on delivery: the car meets you at your hotel or rental house in La Jolla, the Gaslamp, Del Mar, Coronado, or Pacific Beach, by appointment, with the window confirmed after you book. The handoff is a license check, a digital contract, and a walkthrough at the car — a few minutes, not a counter line. Collection at trip's end works in reverse. If you'd rather drive both ways, pickup at 1916 Placentia Ave, Ste A, Costa Mesa is about 90 minutes north of downtown San Diego.
San Diego bookings tend to hit the 3+ day discount tier (about 10% off per day): a $995/day Lamborghini Urus runs $896/day across a long weekend, a $1,195 Huracán Spyder drops to $1,076, and the fleet floor — the $345/day Corvette 3LT — comes down to $311. Longer stays keep falling: 15% off at 5+ days, 20% at 7+. Every rate includes 100 miles per day with the per-mile overage listed on each car's page, and a refundable deposit (most cars $1,000). The full fleet table is on the prices page; what you need to bring is on the requirements page.
San Diego's exotic-car hours are coastal and compact: the Coast Highway run from La Jolla up through Del Mar, Mount Soledad for the view, Coronado for the photographs. A full coastal day fits comfortably inside the 100 included miles, which is exactly why convertibles — the Dawn, the Portofino, the Huracán Spyders — are what we deliver south most often.
Match the delivery window to the trip's shape, not the clock: cars delivered Friday afternoon meet you at check-in, which means the Saturday coastal run starts from your door rather than from a counter. For a Sunday checkout, we collect after you leave — no return-trip logistics, no airport-style drop deadline. Both windows are confirmed with you directly after booking, and we're reachable around the clock if plans move.
Group trips do better with one statement SUV than two sports cars: the Maybach GLS or a G-Wagon moves four adults and the luggage, keeps everyone in the same conversation, and still earns its spot in the photos. Couples' trips and anniversaries lean the other way — the Dawn or Portofino, top down, with the second morning's coffee run as the excuse to drive the coast again. Weddings around Coronado and La Jolla book venue delivery with timing built around the ceremony; the weddings page covers how that works.
Three things to settle: where the car should meet you (hotel or rental house — have the address and a window in mind), whether your insurance extends to rentals (one phone call to your insurer; do it before the trip week), and who in the group is driving, since the 18+/license/insurance requirements apply to whoever takes the wheel. The deposit is refundable and listed on each car's page — most of the fleet sits at $1,000.
