The grey G550 is the entry into G-Class life: 416 hp, the same upright silhouette, the same door-latch thunk. If the box matters more than the badge on the fender flare, this is the honest buy.
The G63 is the default flex. We keep two: a murdered-out black G63 with a black-and-white interior, and a blue G63 over white. Both run AMG's 577-hp twin-turbo V8 with the side-exit exhaust crackle that announces you half a block early.
The Brabus 700 is what happens when a G63 goes to finishing school in Bottrop: 690 hp, full Brabus carbon and trim, black on black. It carries a $2,000 refundable deposit and more road presence than most of our supercars.

It is a car that rewards booking for a week, not a day — at 7+ days the G550 drops to $476/day and the G63s to $636/day.
