Renting an exotic car for prom in Orange County

Platinum Exotics · Updated October 18, 2026

Prom rentals here are straightforward, with one rule that shapes everything: these are self-drive cars with no chauffeur, so the renter and driver must be 18 or older with a valid license and full-coverage insurance that extends to rentals. For most prom nights that means a parent or another qualifying adult rents and drives. The minimum is 1 day, every rental includes 100 miles, and we can deliver to the house for photos by appointment.

Who can rent and drive

The renter on the contract is the driver. To sign, you need to be 18 or older with a valid driver's license and full-coverage insurance (collision and liability) that extends to rental vehicles; the requirements page has the full checklist. Most prom-goers are under 18, and that's fine: a parent, older sibling, or family friend who meets the requirements rents the car and does the driving, and the night still happens. What never happens is a minor behind the wheel. If the driver is a recently-turned-18 senior with qualifying insurance, our guide to renting a Lamborghini at 18 covers exactly how that works.

Cars that fit a group

Prom runs on seats, so start with the cars that have them. The Lamborghini Urus (Grey) seats 5 at $995/day and is the one that makes the whole parking lot turn. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 600 Maybach (Grey) seats 4 at $795/day and treats the back row better than the front. The Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport (Black) seats 7 at $445/day, the full group in one car. The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon G550 seats 5 at $595/day, and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge (White) seats 5 at $1,495/day for the arrival that outdoes everyone's limo. More G-Class options are on the G-Wagon rental page.

Couples can go the other way: the Lamborghini Huracán (Pink) ($1,195/day), the McLaren 570S ($995/day), and the Ferrari F8 Spider ($1,495/day) each seat two, which means the adult drives the photo car and the couple rides in it for pictures, or the adult renter simply is one half of a college-age couple.

Photos at the house, then the drive

The setup that works: the car is delivered to the house in the afternoon, by appointment, so photos happen in the driveway before anyone leaves (delivery details are confirmed with you after booking). The qualifying adult drives for the evening, and the car goes back the next day inside the 1-day rental. A hundred included miles is a lot of prom night; home, photos, the venue area, and a late food run all fit without math.

When you request the car, tell us the photo time, not just the date. An afternoon handoff gives everyone daylight for pictures and leaves the paperwork (license check, digital contract, walkthrough, keys) done long before anyone is dressed up and waiting on it.

What prom night costs

Real numbers from the fleet, per day: the Chevrolet Corvette C8 3LT at $345 is the lowest rate in the fleet, the Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport (Black) starts the group cars at $445, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 600 Maybach (Grey) is $795, and the Lamborghini Urus (Grey) is $995. Each includes 100 miles. The refundable deposit ($1,000 on each of these) is held separately and returned after the car comes back as it left. The full table for all 70 cars is on the prices page, and Orange County delivery covers every school in the county.

Book early

Prom weekends cluster in late spring, and specific cars get asked for by color, so the earlier you request, the better the odds the exact car is open on your date. Requesting a reservation is free, we text back within the hour, and nothing is charged until availability and the paperwork are confirmed with you directly. Pick the car and send your dates, and sort the insurance question with the driving adult the same week. If the family wants the car for the whole weekend instead of one night, the multi-day tiers apply from 3 days up, about 10% off the daily rate.
