Guide
Renting an exotic car comes down to five questions: what does a day actually cost, what deposit is at stake, how many miles are included, does your insurance transfer, and does the car come to you. Here's how to compare — and what the answers look like at Platinum Exotics.
The daily rate is only the headline. Check what's included with it: our rentals run $345–$2,750/day with 100 miles per day built in, and multi-day bookings drop the per-day price about 10% at 3+ days, 15% at 5+, and 20% at 7+. A weekend is usually the sweet spot — long enough for the discount tier, short enough to stay spontaneous. Full table on the prices page.
Every rental company holds a security deposit; the questions are how much and whether it's refundable. Ours are refundable and published on each car's page — $1,000 for most cars — so you know the number before you ever hand over a card.
Mileage caps are where surprise charges live. We include 100 miles per day, which covers a serious coastal loop; if your plans run longer, the per-mile overage rate ($3–$10 depending on the car) is on the car's page, so the math is yours to do in advance, not a line item you discover at return.
You'll need full-coverage insurance that extends to rental vehicles. Call your insurer and ask that exact question — it's the one requirement that can take a few days to fix if the answer is no. The rest of our requirements are simple: 18+, valid license, refundable deposit.
Decide whether you want the car brought to you or want to collect it. We do both: delivery across Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Inland Empire by appointment, or pickup at 1916 Placentia Ave, Ste A, Costa Mesa. We're open 24 hours, 7 days a week — calls and texts answered around the clock, rentals scheduled by appointment, replies within the hour.
From Costa Mesa, the classics write themselves: Pacific Coast Highway south through Laguna Beach for the golden-hour run, Ortega Highway and Santiago Canyon when the car deserves corners, and the Newport peninsula when the point is arriving. A hundred miles a day covers any of them with room to spare.
When you're ready: browse the fleet, or reserve a car and we'll text you within the hour.

Five things: the real daily cost including multi-day discounts, the deposit amount and whether it's refundable, the included miles and overage rate, whether your insurance extends to rentals, and delivery versus pickup.
Requesting a reservation is free and we confirm by text within the hour, so booking early costs nothing — and gives you time to confirm your insurance extends to rentals, the step that most often needs lead time.
At 3+ days the per-day rate drops about 10%: a $995/day Lamborghini Urus runs $896/day, and fleet-wide rates span $345–$2,750/day before discounts.
